Refund Policy

No Refund & All Sales Final Policy

At Steadsons’ Homestead, every item we make is prepared with care, using homestead-grown or locally sourced ingredients under Virginia Cottage Food Laws. Because our products are perishable, handmade, and prepared in small batches, we are unable to accept returns or offer refunds once a purchase has been made.

All Sales Are Final

  • All food products (breads, baked goods, canned and preserved items, etc.) are sold as is and are non-returnable.

  • Once an order is confirmed and payment is processed, the sale is considered final.

Exceptions

The only exception to this policy is if a product is:

  • Mislabeled, or

  • Damaged in a way that makes it unsafe for consumption. Customer is responsible for inspection of purchased good at time of sale. No liability post-sale can be held upon Steadstons' Homestead for illness, sickness, allergies, etc.. Consumers assume all risk upon purchase. 

If this occurs, please contact us within 48 hours of purchase with details, and we’ll do our best to make it right (replacement or store credit, at our discretion).

Customer Responsibility

  • Customers are responsible for reviewing product descriptions and ingredient labels before purchase.

  • We are not liable for issues resulting from undisclosed allergies, improper storage, or failure to follow handling instructions after pickup/delivery.
